Premchand's "The Road to Salvation" is a poignant tale of love, sacrifice, and the enduring power of faith. The story follows the lives of two young lovers, Sitaram and Lali, who are separated by their respective social and economic circumstances. Sitaram is a poor, lower-caste village boy, while Lali is the daughter of a wealthy landowner. Despite the many obstacles that stand in their way, Sitaram and Lali remain deeply devoted to each other and determined to find a way to be together.

As the story unfolds, we see how Sitaram's faith in God helps him overcome the many challenges he faces. When he is forced to leave his village and seek work in the city, he finds solace in the teachings of a wise and compassionate guru. The guru helps Sitaram see that his suffering is a necessary part of his journey towards enlightenment and that by accepting his circumstances, he can find true inner peace.

As Sitaram grows in wisdom and spiritual understanding, he becomes a beacon of hope and inspiration for those around him. His love for Lali becomes a source of strength and inspiration, helping him to overcome his own fears and doubts. Despite the many trials and tribulations that he faces, Sitaram remains steadfast in his belief that love and compassion are the greatest forces for good in the world.

In the end, Sitaram's faith and devotion are rewarded when he is reunited with Lali and they are able to marry and start a new life together. Through his journey, Sitaram learns that the road to salvation is a difficult and often treacherous one, but that with faith, love, and determination, it is possible to overcome any obstacle and find true happiness and fulfillment.

Overall, Premchand's "The Road to Salvation" is a beautifully written and deeply moving tale that speaks to the enduring power of love and faith in the face of adversity. It is a story that will inspire and uplift readers of all ages, and one that will remain with them long after they have finished reading.

If it had, I'd give it a 7. Things go incredibly amiss, however, and Dr. We see Manhattan three years after a deadly virus has killed every healthy human on the island, except one. While most movies that fit the genre have become increasingly sadistic and graphic in nature, once in a great while, films like The Mummy, The Sixth Sense, and now I Am Legend are given a more mainstream market appeal. I've seen it before.

I Am Legend

i am legend film review

Virologist Robert Neville is the last man in New York after surviving a plague that was meant to cure cancer. The minute he walked into the dark to get his dog, I already knew there were "creatures" in the dark, so it was just annoying at that point. A male Darkseeker attempts to follow Neville goes after Neville but abandons the chase when affected by the sunlight. He shoots them and another; Another mob attacks Robert. It started out interesting with Will Smith walking around a deserted New York City.

I Am Legend Review: A Story of Tenacity

i am legend film review

Yes, this film has its flaws, and seems to have gotten a lot of positive feedback as well as negative, but personally, I have to give it a positive review. Morgan is spotted by the new mutants and they give chase. It seemed a bit contradictory in behavior, especially when it was the only real standout use of it in the film. Heston turned immunologist Robert Neville into a brawny, bare-chested, romantic, action stud hero who cavorted in a blue flight suit with a dress uniform cap complete with scrambled eggs on the visor. Despite my fear of most zombie style films, I came to I Am Legend drawn mostly by the interest in the effects.

As dusk comes each day, Robert boards up his abode, which is heavily fortified. Neville is doubtful of the existence of other uninfected people. Working on a cure in his basement and broadcasting fruitlessly into the sky, Neville spends his days surviving and his nights hiding. The abstract theme vanishes, leaving merely a tale of physical confrontation between Will Smith and killer zombies. . The irony is that, due to the sheer scale of it, visually it looks "unreal" whereas the smaller scale 28 Days Later was just plain eerie as it involved nothing generated by computer.

Pandemic movies: Don’t watch Will Smith thriller ‘I Am Legend’

In the movie, they are the 'infected', super-fast and as agile as a simian on LSD — Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later's zombies in short or in long. . Stranded alone in New York, he hunts to procure fresh meat, but also for the pleasure of it. Overall though the film is worth seeing. While it's not bad enough to exactly ruin the film, it simply begs for higher quality and more believable effects, and will undoubtedly be something some viewers will have a hard time looking past. Normally I have an opinion on a movie when it's over, I can reflect on it for a few minutes and then I'm done with.

Smith, sporting a newly buffed physique, delivers an extraordinary performance as a man slowly coming unglued under the strain of no human contact and a constantly alternating role of hunter and prey. The CGI characters are almost as silly as they are scary but, above all, they are presented as more animalistic than human. The German shepherd dog who is Neville's sole companion deserves an honourable mention for showing greater thespian skills than most of the extras and stunt men. It's really worth it. Cancer has been cured by genetically modifying the measles virus to benefit mankind — the results are impressive. He is effectively a prisoner in his own home.

I Am Legend (Movie Review)

i am legend film review

Based on the acclaimed science fiction novel by Richard Matheson, I AM LEGEND is exhilarating, riveting, touching, profound, and brilliantly directed. There's something of On the Beach and Resident Evil and of any number of disaster movies and zombie movies here. Synopsis Robert Neville, the subject of the novel, is alone after a mutation spreads, turning everyone into vampires. Neville, however, is immune to the airborne version and the blood-infected version of the virus. The main strength of this version is the location shots in a deserted New York City a move from the Los Angeles of the book and earlier films and, although the filming of these scenes apparently caused traffic chaos and much anger for local residents, they chillingly set the tone for this dystopian thriller. No matter how many times we see him do his funny little bits, show off his buff bod, or watch him stretch his acting muscle with an unnecessary emotional breakdown scene, the audience still loves him.

I Am Legend movie review & film summary (2007)

i am legend film review

I hope that you find it interesting. In fact, the movie asks the question, Does God still loves us? Here Anna explains that they were aboard a Red Cross evacuation ship from São Paulo and survived the outbreak. There is nothing exciting or suspenseful about our hero's late-night encounter with the mutants on the docks where he uses his SUV as a weapon to smash them. The book's central idea and the explanation for the curious title is that if society breaks down, a new 'norm' is established and anyone acting against that norm by killing vampires during the day for example is seen as aberrant. Having been impressed by an empty London in 28 Days Later, I was curious to see what more money could do. The scene should be edge-of-your-seat stuff.
