Ping's Personal Growth in Carole Wilkinson's Novel Dragonkeeper
This is demonstrated all throughout the book. Self Respect At the start of the book Ping didn't even think she deserved a name but she gradually gained respect for herself through her achievements and the kindness of others. I think that Dragonkeeper is a superbly constructed book. Most importantly, it showed me what Ping's life was like after Dragon Moon, and I am glad to know that it was a good life in the end. The world is filled with a variety of different people, some nice some not, so you cannot just straight up trust a person without finding out more about them. It connected the two parts of the series well.
Her insights into an older Kai certainly build excitement for the next trilogy. This is making me cry! Her only friend before she meets Long Danzi. I look around me and find that where there had once been beautiful scenery there is now ugly buildings or disgusting wasteland, where there was once a delightful little village there is now a poorly maintained city. I think that, because of some violence and more difficult vocabulary it should be read by children from 8 years old. Most importantly, it showed me what Ping's life was like after Dragon Moon, and I am glad to know that it was a good life in the end. Although she was looking up at me when I grabbed her so she might have confused the top of the ale with the bottom.
How would you describe Danzi? People are changed by the Rain Wilds, subtly or otherwise. Ping grows as she must grasp the skills that are required to be a Dragonkeeper, Her job is to safely take Danzi and the dragon stone to the ocean. Danzi has the responsibility to teach Ping and keep her safe some of the time. She showed it to a friend who worked in publishing who asked if she could write a teenage novel. He often performs gruesome rituals such as animal or human sacrifice. Although, the novel sets Ping up for misery when she is betrayed by her only friend.
Poverty is a very real problem our society faces today, when we think of poverty we often think of people in third world countries but there is poverty in frist world nations like Australia. When I reach the lake I dive head first into it's icy waters and reach out to Ping using my hind legs, I grasp her almost motionless body and start flapping my wings again. Danzi relized what mistake he had made and entrusted Ping with the baby dragon, and Ping relised that she had to escape from Ming Yang Lodge with the dragon. They carry with them a mysterious stone that must be protected. It connected the two parts of the series well.

Danzi was a young Dragon, in which he roams the world. She wrote a lot while she was there including her first novel. Like everyone else, Thymara is fascinated by the return of dragons: it is as if they symbolise the return of hope to their war-torn world. It was by pure chance while filling in my Goodreads book list that I discovered that this letter, and in fact, the next three books in the series, even existed. I think Danzi was a true freind to Ping but throughout the book they both needed reminding how much they depended on each other. The dragon stone was one of the biggest responsibilities for Ping as she had to rub special cream on it and risked or life to go back and save it. But what's even more heartwarming is that Kai and Danzi stayed in her heart every single day while she was forgetting how her family looked like.
