Jeff Kinney is an American author and illustrator best known for his popular children's book series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Born in 1971, Kinney grew up in the Washington D.C. area and later attended the University of Maryland, where he earned a degree in computer science.
As a child, Kinney was known for his love of reading and storytelling. He was also an avid comic book fan, and often spent hours drawing and creating his own comics.
