The German culture differs very much from others. I think this book was written for architects and urban planners, so I was missing some foundational knowledge to really get the most of this. With the increasing human population in the world, it is more important than ever to provide the suitable amount of available social and private space. This is where the book falls apart. Besides, visual space and auditory space are important as well since same thing in two individuals is not in the same way. If anyone knows of a book that discusses the gendering of space — I would really love to read it and will be forever in your debt.
