I want to become a doctor because I have a deep desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives. Medicine is a field that allows me to do this in a meaningful and impactful way.
As a child, I was always fascinated by science and how the human body works. I would spend hours reading about different diseases and conditions, and I always had a strong curiosity about how doctors were able to diagnose and treat these issues. As I grew older, this fascination only deepened, and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field.
But it wasn't just my love of science that led me to this decision. I have always been a compassionate and empathetic person, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility to use my skills and abilities to help others. I believe that being a doctor is the perfect way for me to do this.
In order to become a doctor, I know that I will need to work hard and commit to many years of education and training. I am prepared for this challenge, and I am confident that with hard work and dedication, I can achieve my dream of becoming a physician.
I am excited to enter this rewarding and challenging field, and I am eager to make a difference in the lives of my patients. Becoming a doctor will allow me to use my knowledge and skills to improve the health and well-being of others, and that is a truly rewarding and fulfilling career path for me.
Harry Brown review
I delved into the Similarly, 25% to gold is much too high for my tastes. Len tells Harry about the harassment he's been suffering from the youths who post dog-droppings and lit newspapers through his letter box and describes how fearful the experience has made him feel. I'm sure it was intentionally unsensational and downbeat but not particularly inspiring. This was released at the tail-end of 2009 with a lot of fanfare and Michael Caine made some headlines himself with passionate and unfashionable views that the education system and poor parenting skills were responsible for youth crime. The lack of anything else going on was a problem for me though.
. I saw the film last night and it brought back all the memories I have of having lived in similar circumstances. Harry Brown is a film that takes on this subject in what was dubbed the British Gran Torino. There's a pub on the estate, quiet in the daytime, where he and his old friend Leonard The inspector is human, and sympathetic. There aren't many other people walking about the estate, even in daylight, out of fear of the gun-carrying teenage gangs.
The film's visual style is excellent because the moody cinematography really becomes another character because you can't help but feel and smell the dirtiness of the streets. But I didn't regret it watching it and I must even say that I got goosebumps by some scene's. It wasn't that I needed it to take a stand on anything, I just wanted it to be a bit smarter and more interesting than it was. And make no mistake, this is a suspenseful, dark, but thrilling film, that carries both an emotional and physical punch. It is also described as being English portrayal. Even at the older age there's no trouble believing Caine in the part. .
Title Brazil : "Harry Brown" Note: On 21 February 2015 I saw this movie again. Gary Young's screenplay does tend to overstate how bad the villains are. Oh yeah, I have. The supporting group of thugs are also quite good as is Emily Mortimer as a cop. Michael Caine has an awesome performance in the role of a widower that becomes a vigilante after the murder of his best friend. Credit to director Daniel Barber for allowing him space to breathe and not be hurried.
I'm sure the violence and blood will turn some off but I thought it fit the film quite well. Amazingly it holds your belief throughout - not an inconsiderable achievement in a genre that tends to become overblown and ridiculous. Following the deaths of his wife by natural causes and best mate at the hands of the punks , old Harry has little reason to worry about either his own life or capture by the police. As an important technical detail the sounds have been captured marvellously with the echoes of fired bullets being heard behind windows , and this is what makes a crime movie makes sense. He is a great presence but he is lost in the overblown final third and really deserved a tighter focus on his character. He plays his part with massive pathos. Whatever happened, this is a wonderfully varied and nuanced performance and one of the very best I have seen from him. This movie plays better than perhaps it should. The weakness his character shows at the start of the film and the loneliness of the character are really driven out by Caine. Daniel Barbers disturbing vision of life on a South London Council estate was filmed in and around the Elephant and castle where leading man Michael Caine actually spent his formative years. I don't think we'll see the British government promoting this film as it portraits the country in a very bad light, though, if you are not from Britain and would like a taste of what some of us have to put up with I recommend you see this film. Acting is strong too, with a reborn Michael Caine taking up most of the screen time.
I would have liked at least something in the way of comment or intelligence in the material though, but if it is there it doesn't come through. Top 3 Favorite Film Composers: Clint Mansell, John Williams and Howard Shore. The gang is shown to willing to act sexually to work, such as grabbing a woman and pushing their hips towards hers. Harry Brown does what most people would like to do deep down inside and take the fight to the criminals. After suffering the loss of his wife who'd been in a coma for some time, he plays chess with his best friend Len David Bradley at his local pub. It follows a similar route, of a man killing and torturing way to the true and being as ruthless as possible. If Movieguide® is useful to you, please take one minute to keep it online and growing. After the death of Kath, Len tells to his grieving friend that the local gang of hoods is harassing him and he is carrying an old bayonet for self-defense; the widower suggests him to go to the police. These questions were swept under the rug in order to tell a simpler story. In fact, I would go as far as to say Harry Brown trumps Gran Torino in the department of being about "something" Torino about racism, Brown about vigilantism.
This is no ordinary vigilante movie and, although I haven't seen it, it must bear considerable comparison to Grand Torino where another fine actor in his latter years dominates a movie. He carefully conceals his cards. The police can not prosecute as the court would rule self defence by the shooter. There's a twist in the final act that I didn't care too much for but there's no denying that this is a tense and rather powerful little gem. One evening Leonard goes to confront the gang in an underpass as is sadly shot and killed. Certainly Caine himself knows what it's like spending formative years in deep poverty. Immediately moviegoers will flash to Gran Torino, as a story of a lonely, grumpy old man mixing it up with gang-bangers in a part of town he should have moved out of.
Sid suffocates the injured Hicock, and Noel begins to strangle Frampton. It's rare to see this combination of solid drama and over the top revenge themes in one film, let alone a working combo, but Barber pulls it off with such ease that I'm already looking forward to his next film. Alice Frampton Emily Mortimer and D. I think thugs will always see themselves as heroes in such movies even if they end up with the bad result.
